As collegiate athletes, Jarryd and Trisha played basketball at the University of Iowa. After getting married in 2013, they spent four years playing professional basketball overseas. In 2017, the Coles sensed a call into ministry and began serving vocationally at Cornerstone church in Ames, IA. In the Summer of 2022, they moved to Madison, WI to begin their church plant residency.

For the last couple of years, they have been ministering to the Madison community and UW-Madison campus while building a bridge to plant in Milwaukee in2025. Jarryd has his B.A in English, M.A in Psychology, and M.A in Biblical studies from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Jarryd and Trisha have been married for 10 years and have four children: Kayda, Rylee, Mya, and Isaiah.
